Apple Pie with Caramel Sauce

  • 4 green apples
  • Sugar 150g
  • Flora 150g
  • Wheat flour 400g
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon Powder 1/2 tsp


  1. To a bowl add
    1.  400g flour
    2. 25g of Sugar
    3. 50g of Flora
    4. Baking powder ½ tsp
    5. 50ml warm water
  2. Mix well until the sugar is mixed well to the pie dough
  3. Separate dough into two portions and leave aside (¾ for crust, ¼ for the top)
  4. Roll one  portion (crust) of the dough till it comes to a size to fit the pie tray
  5. Apply Flora to the pie tray
  6. Lay the rolled out dough on top of the pie tray correctly
  7. Roll out and make strips from the remaining dough
  8. To a pan
    1. 100ml of water
    2. Add pealed apple slices
    3. Add 30g of sugar
    4. Add Cinnamon powder 1/2 tsp
    5. add 30g Flora
    6. Sauté until apples are soft
  9. Add the apple mix to the dough on the baking tray
  10. Braid strips of dough on top
  11. Apply Flora on top of the strips
  12. Bake for 25 mins  at 200
  13. Garnish with Caramel Sauce
